Poplar Grove has several missions groups that meet on a regualr basis.  We also participate in local, national, and international missions.

WOM - Women on Missions

This group meets one time a month (first Sunday night at 6:00 pm) in our fellowship hall.  During our meetings we have a devotion time, we also receive a list of missionary names to be praying for over the next month, and most importantly we find at least one mission project per month to complete in our community.

Baptist Men

This group meets once a month (first Sunday morning of each month at 8:30) in the fellowship hall.  They have breakfast and a devotion time, as well as discussion of any local mission they may need to work on throughout the month.

Children on Mission

 (Acteens, RAs, Children in Action) 

The children's groups meet each Wednesday night to have lesson, work on crafts, visit elderly people that may not be able to attend church on Wednesday night, and to have ice cream night every once in a while.  The children are in three groups: girls are part of the Acteens group, boys are part of the RAs, and children under school age participate in Children in Action.

National and International Missions

In April our pastor participated in a national mission trip to Mississippi to help build a church that was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina.

In June three of our church members, our pastor, Viola, and Harriett were blessed to be able to participate in an international mission trip to Mexico.  They were able to build an entire church building in the few days they were there.
